Here’s a summary of the games I played in 2024:
January: I started the year strong with Golan 73 (4/1). Got to play Red Army, VUCA Red Strike, and Assault Red Horizon 41 at Blippspel Galore XVIII (13-14/1). Rounded out the month with Firefly: The Game (20/1) and Cthulhu: Death May Die (31/1).
February: This month included Atlantic Chase (16/2), another game of Assault Red Horizon 41 (19/2), and my first time playing Undaunted: Stalingrad (21/2).
March: I tried The Mannerheim Line Campaign solo (3/3) and another first, Undaunted: Battle of Britain (11/3).
April: A couple more games of Atlantic Chase (2/4, 10/4). Another first with Panzer Leader (8/4), and twice The British Way: Kenya (11/4, 22/4).
May and June: Was the months of Undaunted: Stalingrad (19/5, 5/6).
July: These months saw only one game, Gettysburg: Badges of Courage (29/7).
August: These months were more varied. I played another game of Undaunted: Stalingrad (1/8). Then onto Saigon 75 and Assault Red Horizon 41 (2/8). Rounded out the month with Dune: Imperium (8/8) and Watergate (20/8).
September: I played Pax Baltica: Great Northern War for the first time (3/9).
October: Another one game-month, this time Leningrad (7/10).
November: I got in games of The British Way: Cyprus (12/11) and The Battle of the Bulge (18/11).
December: Ending the year in stile with Thunder at Cassino (8/12), Squad Leader (16/12), Dune: Imperium (26/12), and finally Small Samurai Empires, The Gest of Robin Hood, and 1943 1945 on the (29/12).
It was a steady year with a mix of old classics and new favorites.
The following games were played the most:
Undaunted Stalingrad - 4 times
Atlantic Chase - 3 times
Assault Red Horizon 41 - 3 times
Almost all other games were played only once; it’s more fun to play new games.
